WHO WE ARE

Purpose
Camp On Wheels (COWS) is a 501(c)(3) organization that is fundamental and Bible-believing. It is a mission effort dedicated to serving local churches that are: 1) geographically or 2) culturally isolated from the traditional camp setting. Using the tools of a Bible preaching platform and trained counselors in the cabin, COWs’ goal is to reach the lost with the message of the gospel and to renew and strengthen Christian young people through practical Bible teaching. Activities, games and camper/staff interaction are all used to illustrate that God is to be glorified in every aspect of our lives.

Place
COWS will minister Summer 2008 in the White Mountains of Arizona and near Calgary Canada. Churches will bring their youth to our temporary campsites and they will experience the power of God’s creation. Summer ministry will begin in June with five days of intense training at Cows home base in Alpine, AZ.

People
Although we will be serving in beautiful locations, a foundation of the COWS philosophy is that a trained and dedicated staff is far more important in ministering to a camper’s life than is the location. In other words, the people of COWS is what makes this type of itinerant camping ministry possible.

Program
The program of COWS gives an opportunity to experience the camping ministry in unique settings. The COWS program uses a large truck and trailer loaded with all of the equipment needed for a small camping ministry. In the Summer of 2008 COWS will be ministering in Arizona for four weeks of camp and then packing up the equipment and staff for the trip to western Canada and two weeks of camp in the Calgary area.
